hurdle: noun | a problem or difficulty that must be overcome.
Welcome to Your Hurdles – a roundup of all the things you’re trying to get over this week, as submitted via Instagram.

Hello. This is the second week of sharing the hurdles you’re trying to get over this week, and they’ve already started getting a little more candid. Sometimes it’s easier to share when you know it’s anonymous.
If you follow Hurdling on Instagram, you’ll be able to submit your own (anonymous) answers each week when I ask on Stories which hurdles you’re trying to get over. They’ll be rounded up into a post like this one. They’ll also always be kept anonymous, but you’re free to comment on this post with your good advice, good thoughts, and good opinions.
Anyway, here are the hurdles you’re trying to get over this week.
This woman in my team consistently takes credit for my work and I don’t know how to actually show our boss that it’s all me??
Trying to pluck up the courage to tell my girlfriend that I don’t want to spend Christmas with her family…
I have five IKEA bags of clothes I need to get on Vinted.
Trying to figure out how to reply to someone who said they missed me, when I don’t miss them back.
Cancelling all the post-work plans I agreed to last week.
My big toenail fell off lol.
Need to start half marathon training this week as per my training plan, but I just… can’t be assed.
My home friends are trying to make plans for Christmas but I’ve been ghosting them all year. Idk how to tell them I’ve grown up and moved on.
Moving flats. Ugh.
Applying for so many jobs and either getting immediately rejected or ghosted. What am I doing wrong?
My coupled up friends keep suggesting their friends and co-workers as blind dates for me. They don’t seem to get that you can be single and happy???
